That’s right, I’m hosting an ongoing quote game. It’s only partially interactive but it’s gonna be fun.
Ok Sparky, here’s the deal (5,000 an extra 10,000 for the original): I will include a quote from a movie, TV show, song, or possibly even literature (this will virtually always be something really recognizable) and after the quote there will be a virtual point value in parenthesis. I will link the quote back here for those who may stumble across the blog and not know what’s at stake but this will also serve to make it pretty obvious that this is the QG quote.
The virtual points go to the first person to correctly identify the quote in the comments. The virtual points can be exchanged at any time for virtual dollars which can be used to buy virtually anything (sometimes interpreted to mean nothing).
But come on, It’ll be fun and it’s not like it costs you anything.
That’s from Aladdin, but it’s Robin Williams’ character doing an imitation of Jack Nicholson. I’m not sure what character of Nicholson’s it’s supposed to be, but I always thought it was the Joker from the first Batman.
Actually I think it’s Mike Myers in So I Married and Ax murderer-but he could have been quoting.
Jabe’s right. I am SO in on this game! What a super idea. Just make sure you always post the quotes late at night your time, just because I think it will be more convenient for you, won’t it? Not because it will give me an advantage, living in another hemisphere. Oh, no no.
