If you could only drink one thing for the rest of your life what would it be? Milk, I don’t even have to think about it.

If you had known your spouse in high school would you have been friends? Nope.

Would you still have married him? Doubtful.

Would he have married you?Absolutely (I don’t know, how am I supposed to answer that?)

Morning or night? Morning to get stuff done, night for playing.

Have you fulfilled your “goal” listed in your high school yearbook? I don’t think I had one of those.  But if I had… I doubt it.

Cake or pie? Um, Pie, hello? Are you new here?

Now, this whole surg tech gig, is this what you dreamed of as a kid or was this something you fell into? I fell.

Best advice you ever got? When it’s laugh or cry, you may as well laugh.

Best advice you you gave? When it’s laugh or cry, go with laughing.

Favourite charity? LDS Church (continuing education program specifically).

Would you go back and change your kids’ names if you could? No, Maybe, Yes, No.

What do you consider proof that God both loves you, and has a great sense of humour? Loves me- everyday, sense of humor-my life.

If you could only celebrate one holiday a year (not including you day your birthday) which one would you choose and why? Pie day.

Where would you most like to live? I’d love to go back east but it’s really more about how than where.

What is your dream vacation? Quiet, warm, Sean, no kids.

Is your current home your dream home or will it be when you’re done remodeling? Done remodeling?  Does that happen? Dream? Probably not, Something that I can love?  I think so.

Favorite season? Spring.

Cook or clean? Cook.  But I’d prefer to build.

if you weren’t Mormon, what religion would you be? Generic “spiritual” “christian” without any rules, although I’ve always thought that episcopalian was fun to say.

What’s your guilty pleasure that you buy for yourself regularly even though you probably shouldn’t? I eat too much ice cream and brownies but I’m far too cheap to buy myself anything.

What TV show best approximates your life. Scrubs?  Yes Dear?  The Money Pit?

Favorite song to sing loud to in the car/shower? Car- Next Time He Cheats, Shower- Part of Your World.

What is your most favorite meal? Steak, potatoes, veggies.

If you could be any profession (without having to worry about school, paying for it, qualified or not qualified) what would it be? Race car driver.

If you could only enjoy one thing for the rest of your life would you pick: TV, Internet or Music? Internet on which I could watch TV and play music.

If you met the future you (the person you are now) when you were 16 would you have wanted to be like her? Probably but I wouldn’t have wanted her life.

If you can (safely) travel in time which woman would your rather meet: Cleopatra or Jane Austen? Jane, I’m not hardcore enough to hold my own with Cleo.

Would you rather hear a story for the first time on stage/movie or read it in a book? I prefer to read the book (but if it’s actually a play I need to see it rather than reading it.)

What are you most proud of in your 29-ish years so far? The kids.

It All Started on Facebook February 15, 2009

You can all blame bythelbs for this one because really it was her idea.

There are several meme type note things going around on facebook some of them are interesting (the 25 things) some are at least worth the time it takes to read them (the bucket list)  and some are just plain lame (yes or no) so I’ve decided to come up with my own meme and you’re going to help.

So in the comments give me a question.  You can make up rules (yes or no, one word answers, whatever) and I promise to answer every single one.

No, this not a lame “ask me a question” blog fodder post (not that yours was lame what I mean is… hey, look at that) this is about putting together a meme that people actually have fun answering and others have even more fun reading.

Just to get the ball rolling I’ll throw out a few questions.

Almost 50 for 101 October 2, 2008

It’s my 101st post and It was requested of me by a fellow blogger who shall remain nameless that I do this meme despite the fact that I was not tagged (Seriously, a little linkage, is that too much to ask?) apparently some bloggers don’t know their blogger etiquette.

Anywho, here are some questions and some answers.  Some of them even go together.

1. Do you like blue cheese? It’s not my favorite but I make it a policy never to say no to a dairy product.
2. Have you ever smoked a cigarette? Never.  But I do have a recurring dream where I’m smoking and it’s the best thing ever! (Smoking is the best, in my dream.  It’s not the dream that’s the best.)
3. Do you own a gun? No, but Sean does.
4. What flavor do you add to your drink at Sonic? I’ve never been to Sonic.  Are they real flavors or syrups?
5. Do you get nervous before doctor appointment? No, I’m quite calm when I take the kids in for well checks.
6. What do you think of hot dogs? I don’t know who Susan is but apparently she thinks they’re gross and super yummy at the same time.  I concur.
7. Favorite Christmas Song? Oh Holy Night.
8. What do you prefer to drink in the morning? it depends on what I’m eating.  Usually milk.
9. Can you do push-ups? I’m sure I am capable of doing at least two but I can’t think of any reason I would want to.
10. What is your favorite movie? What kind of mood am I in?
11. What’s your favorite piece of jewelry? Wedding band
12. Favorite hobby? Reading.
13. Do you work with people who idolize you? No.  But they should.

31. Would you be a pirate? I really want to say yes here but if I’m honest I’ll admit that piracy carries with it a certain nonchalance that I just don’t have.  I must have a plan and I do my best to prepare for all contingencies that’s not very piratey.
32. What songs do you sing in the shower? I usually don’t sing in the shower which is weird because I sing everywhere else.

Fifity Nifty Things About ME! July 3, 2008

It’s my 50th post so I thought I’d celebrate by telling you a little more about myself.  Most of my readers (that I know about) either know or knew me and you may know some of these things.  My sisters, four of my most faithful readers, already know a lot of these things but I’m gonna do my best to surprise even them.

1. I eat a bowl of brownies and ice cream every night (that I’m not at work).

2. Ten years later I’d still rather hang out with Sean than anyone.

3. I can list (or sing if you’d rather) all 50 states.  In alphabetical order.

4. I slather sunscreen on my kids more because I don’t want to deal with sunburned kids than for any other reason.

5.I never put sunscreen on myself.

6. I only wash my hair once a week.

7. 18 months is my favorite age.

8. If I had my life to do over again I’d be nicer to Marko.

9.  That’s not the only change I’d make.

10. I can’t stand, hate and abhor the phrase “we’re pregnant”.  I have been pregnant 4 times, Sean has never been pregnant.

11. I hate coconut.

12. And banana.

13. If my friends at work described me to Sean, he wouldn’t recognize who they were talking about.

14. From the age of 12 to 18 I got up at 4:30 every morning to deliver newspapers.

15. I can’t believe my parents were willing to go that far to instill in me (and my siblings) a strong work ethic.

16. I’m afraid that I’m not willing to go that far to do the same for my kids.

17. My first kiss was with Sam Vasquez in the seventh grade.

18. The pinky toe on my left foot bends off at a right angle.

19. I used to sing so that someone would hear me and pay me a compliment.

20. Now I sing because I don’t see why I shouldn’t.

21. Most of the time I prefer savory to sweet.

22. I’ve never gone in to check that my children were sill breathing.

23. I have no patience for incompetence or blatant inefficiency.

24. I do not think well on my feet.

25. I do work well under pressure.

26. I’m not convinced there’s anything I can’t do.

27. When I’m annoyed I get loud.

28. When I’m mad I get quiet.

29. I watch Notting Hill an average of 4 times a year.

30. All of my favorite people are related to me.

31. I have Horton Hatches the Egg memorized.

32. I write my father’s name in every time I vote for president.

33. Blood and guts do not bother me but I have trouble with snot.

34. In the first year I had a driver’s license I ran out of gas 10 times.

35. I would make a very poor stay at home mom.

36. My mother is proud of me.

37. I hate feet.

38. I would really love an excuse to wear my prom dress again.

39. I could wear my prom dress again.

40. If it wouldn’t set such a bad example for my kids I’d probably have cheese chips and salsa for lunch every day.

41. I can get myself and four kids up, fed, dressed and to church in 45 minutes.

42. We’re late for church every Sunday that Sean’s home.

43. Country music makes me cry.

44. There’s always a small part of me that’s jealous when someone I know gives birth.

45. I believe myself to be completely ordinary.  I’m just more honest about myself than most.

46. I worry a lot less than I used to, Sean has mellowed me out.

47. I still worry a lot.

48. I anthropomorphize everything.

49. I wake up in the morning with songs I haven’t heard for years stuck in my head.

My First Ever Meme! June 1, 2008

By the lbs tagged me for my first ever meme that’s right I’m a big girl now (500). The idea is that you post 10 pictures about yourself as you are right now. (Right now for purposes of this post is about midnight Saturday night even though I won’t actually post it until sometime Sunday. Or later.)

They’re sleeping and I’m not risking waking them up with a flash even for my blog.

It may not look like much now but give me a few months. Trust me, it’s gonna be awesome!!! (That whole big section at the top right, next to the kitchen, it currently doesn’t exist.)

Lid up, living dangerously. But it is my toilet, not the kids. PS that stuff on the wall? It’s nail polish, come on, it’s blue for cripes sake.

The Pea took this shot of me today. He cut my head off but it can’t really be beat for currentness and look how long my hair is! (For some reason that’s a total point of pride with me, as if long hair is somehow a talent rather than just a failure to get a haircut. Whatever.)

This one was taken at easter but I find I don’t mind it so I’m willing to show it to the world.
