After I married, I moved to another state to escape my past ‘boyfriends’, and what do you know, one of them ended up following me here! Not twenty miles away, which (when you’re out of Utah) means one stake away. I run into him all the time! Thankfully, he’s married to a lovely lady, and they have adorable children, but that doesn’t meant that it’s a little weird!

I found some friends on facebook. Heck I found my 1st fiance and was able to email him. I’m glad I did. Thats how I have been able to find old friends lately.

I’m with you—I don’t have time to keep track of or have active relationships with all the people I’ve ever known or been friends with, but every once in awhile I’m curious to know how they’re doing. Deep down I still care. In my own way.

I agree! I got back in touch with a friend from high school on facebook. I wrote him once and he wrote back and said I’d better tell him more. That was over a month ago. I feel like telling him to go read my blog. But probably he’s not all that interested in the time I got locked out of my house or how I’m trying to diet.

I impulsively added a bunch of people from high school as friends on Facebook because I thought it’d be fun to hear from them about how and what they’re doing now. And it was. At first. Now I never go on there because I don’t really want to see or hear from most of those people beyond that!

I’m with you. I totally love all of my old friends, but my current (and real) takes the lion’s share of my attention and time. Really I just want the Christmas card information without the pretensions. I’d love their blog links.

I’m close to my hometown. I’ve skipped reunions for more weighty reasons.

Good idea about keeping in contact through blogs. No obligation, just observation. I like that. There are plenty of people I’d love to know what happened to them, but I would never ever go to a reunion. mostly because what the name states, reunion. blech, i didn’t like the whole idea of groups i certainly don’t want to revisit them.

i like mary’s idea. maybe just maybe.
